How do you really feel about work?
September 23, 2009 by Nancie
So you don’t like your job. It’s not that unusual, actually. A lot of people feel that if they were “given the choice” they would choose something other than their current job. Of course, right now, many people are “just grateful to have a job”. There’s nothing wrong with being grateful as long as you’re not allowing yourself to give up who you are in exchange for employment or money.
What’s the difference between the job of your dreams or the work of your dreams and your current situation? Do you believe that you can’t make money doing what you’d love to do? Do you believe that you’re too busy with your current job to follow your dreams? Do you have the belief that you are only valuable if you work really hard and suffer through it? Are you worthy of having the things you would choose to have if you could choose anything in the world?
These are examples of beliefs that many people hold. These beliefs are limiting their lives – preventing them from being, doing or having what they truly desire. Many of these beliefs come to us through the DNA that is passed on from our ancestors. Sometimes they are tied back to a time when they were valid – you did have to work hard or die.
The wonderful thing is that we don’t have to carry these beliefs forever if we don’t want to.
How might it serve you to continue to carry these types of beliefs even when you know you don’t have to? You might sense that your life would change dramatically if you let go of these (or any) limiting beliefs. You might change work, your income might change, where you live might change – you might even leave a relationship that is really no longer serving your highest good. Sometimes we’re not ready to make changes.
Sometimes we are.
Know that you can change your situation more rapidly than you can change the clothes you’re wearing if you’re ready to do that. All you really have to do is ask. You might want to have someone who specializes in the work of clearing limiting beliefs and energies that no longer serve you, but you don’t have to do that if that doesn’t feel right.
When you’re ready, you’d be surprised what happens!
Are you ready?
